Licence
Buying the kit gives you a licence to use the files. It does not transfer ownership of them. The licence is worldwide, perpetual for the edition you bought, and includes every update we publish for that edition. It takes effect when payment is confirmed and ends only if you breach it seriously and do not fix the breach after we ask, or if you receive a refund.
Core
- Use the code in projects that you or your employer own.
- Modify, extend and combine it with your own code without limit.
- One named developer working on those projects.
- Ship the resulting application to your own users, including commercially.
Pro
- Everything in Core.
- Unlimited projects inside a single company or organisation.
- Any number of developers employed by, or contracted to, that company.
Agency
- Everything in Pro.
- Ship the code inside work you deliver to clients, including paid client work.
- Your client may keep, run and maintain the delivered project indefinitely.
- The client does not receive the right to redistribute the kit itself.
What no edition allows
- Reselling, sublicensing, republishing or giving away the kit itself, in whole or in substantial part, including as a template, a course, a starter repository or a dataset.
- Publishing the source in a public repository or any other publicly accessible location.
- Building a product whose main value is the kit itself, redistributed to others.
- Sharing your download link outside your company or the specific client project.
- Removing or altering the copyright and licence notices inside the files.
- Using the code for anything listed in the Acceptable Use Policy.
Third-party components
The kit depends on open source libraries, each under its own licence. Those licences are listed in the documentation folder, continue to apply to those components, and are not changed by this licence.
Model providers
Running the kit means sending data to model providers you choose. Their terms, pricing and usage policies apply to that traffic, independently of this licence.
No warranty
The code is provided as it is. The warranty, conformity and liability terms are in the Terms of Sale and are not repeated here.
